Vera Vorneweg (*1985), lebt als freie Schriftstellerin und Künstlerin in Düsseldorf. Nach zahlreichen Veröffentlichungen in Anthologien und Zeitschriften erschien 2022 ihr Debüt „Kein Wort zurück“ in der Edition Muschelkalk im Wartburg-Verlag.

Seit 2020 arbeitet Vera Vorneweg mit Text im Öffentlichen Raum und beschreibt alternative Flächen wie Stühle, Tische, Steine, Wände, Container. Mit diesen großflächigen sozialen Text-Installationen, in der u.a. die passierenden Menschen zu einem Teil des Kunstwerks werden, prägt sie maßgeblich den Bereich der Visuellen Prosa.

Sie erhielt mehrere Preise und Stipendien, u.a. Harald-Gerlach-Preis (2019), Künstlerstipendium NRW (2020), 1:1 Mentoringprogramm mit Marion Poschmann (2021/2022), Künstlerdorf Schöppingen (2022/2023) und Literatur-Förderpreis der Stadt Düsseldorf (2022).
Für die Jahre 2024 und 2025 wurde Vera Vorneweg vom Kultursekretariat NRW für das Programm WERKPROBEN ausgewählt.

Sie kuratiert seit 2022 den „Kunstkiosk“ – eine Düsseldorfer Veranstaltungsreihe mit Lesungen und Ausstellungen zur Konkreten Poesie.

Vera Vorneweg (*1985), lives as a writer and artist in Düsseldorf. After numerous publications in anthologies and magazines, her debut “No Word Back” was published in 2022 by Edition Muschelkalk by Wartburg-Verlag.

Since 2020, Vera Vorneweg has been working with text in public spaces and describing alternative surfaces such as chairs, tables, stones, walls, containers. With these large-scale social text installations, in which, among other things, the people passing by become part of the work of art, she significantly shapes the field of visual prose.

She has received several prizes and scholarships, including the Harald Gerlach Prize (2019), the NRW Artist Scholarship (2020), the 1:1 mentoring program with Marion Poschmann (2021/2022), the Schöppingen Artist Village (2022/2023) and the City of Düsseldorf's Literature Prize (2022).

For the years 2024 and 2025, Vera Vorneweg was selected by the NRW Cultural Secretariat for the WERKPROBEN program.

Since 2022, she has been curating the “Kunstkiosk” – a Düsseldorf event series with readings and exhibitions on concrete poetry.
